Madison Man (Ronald Keith Purdy) Charged in Monroe County Child Sex Case

A Madison man has been charged in connection with alleged sexual offenses involving a child in Monroe County. 
Ronald Keith Purdy is charged with Child Molestation in the First Degree, according to a probable cause statement filed in Monroe County Circuit Court. 
According to the probable cause statement, the Monroe County Sheriff's Office began investigating on September 25 after receiving a report of a sexual assault. The statement alleges the victim reported multiple incidents involving Purdy over several months, beginning in March 2026. 
The report states investigators reviewed video and photographic evidence allegedly found on the victim's phone. The probable cause statement also indicates Purdy was taken into custody on September 25 at approximately 6:49 p.m. and later participated in a post-Miranda interview with investigators. 
The allegations contained in the probable cause statement are accusations, and Purdy is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. 
Purdy is scheduled to make his initial court appearance Tuesday afternoon.
