MABA Monster Bash Set for Oct. 24 in Madison

Mid-Mo Promotions is gearing up for a night of smashing, costumes and Halloween fun with the MABA Monster Bash on Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, at 200 N. Elm St. in Madison. 
The Halloween-themed demolition derby will feature several classes of competition along with trunk-or-treat activities, a Halloween car contest and special activities for children. 
Drivers are encouraged to get creative for the event, with $100 awarded to the best Halloween-themed car. Spectators and participants are also encouraged to bring candy, decorate their derby cars for trunk-or-treat and bring children dressed in Halloween costumes. 
Technical inspection will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with cars required to have a stick by 3 p.m. The derby is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. Gates close at 2 p.m., and one re-tech will be offered. 
The evening will feature substantial payouts across several classes. Hot Stock will pay $1,800 for first, $900 for second and $450 for third. Full-Size Hobo pays $1,400, $700 and $350, while FWD Hobo pays $1,000, $500 and $250. 
The SUV/Van/Truck class will pay $900, $450 and $225. Youth competitors will also have a chance to get behind the wheel, with Youth Full-Size Hobo paying $800, $400 and $200 and Youth FWD Hobo paying $600, $300 and $150. 
Mowers will also join the action with three classes, each offering payouts of $300, $200 and $100. The mower competition will be hosted by Mid-Mo Derby Mowers. Ethan Koch may be contacted for mower rules. 
For younger children, Kids Power Wheels will be held free of charge. 
General admission is $15 for ages 11 and older, while children 10 and younger are admitted free. Admission for military members with identification and seniors age 65 and older is $10. 
Participant fees are $50 for drivers, $40 for passengers and $25 for crew passes. Driver-to-ride admission is $10. 
The Monster Bash combines the excitement of demolition derby competition with a Halloween celebration for the entire family. Organizers are encouraging attendees to "Bring your crew, build it, smash it -- see you in the pit!"
