Register Now for No-Cost Cholesterol Screening On November 14

Registrations are now being taken for a no-cost cholesterol screening 
sponsored by Blessing Health. It will be held on Thursday, November 14, 
from 7-9 am at the Blessing Resource Center, 420 N. 34th Street, Quincy.

An appointment and a 12-hour fast before the test are required to 
participate. Visit blessinghealth.org/cholesterol, or call 217.277.5000, 
or stop by the Blessing Resource Center to register.

The screening will measure levels of the following in the blood:

LDL, sometimes called "bad" cholesterol 

HDL, sometimes called "good" cholesterol

total cholesterol

triglycerides (fat)

blood glucose (sugar)

The results of a cholesterol test are part of the information needed to 
determine a person's current heart health status and future risk for 
heart disease and diabetes.
