(New Teacher Bios below)
Rebekah Jones - PK-12 PE Teacher, JH/HS Basketball
My name is Bekah Jones and I will be the new PK-12 PE teacher and Girls Basketball Coach this year in Madison. I have spent the last 5 years in Harrisburg working in a variety of aid positions while coaching basketball and finishing my education degree. My Sport Management and Physical Education degree came from William Woods University where I also played 3 years of basketball. My husband, Shain, runs a Jersey Mike's sub shop in Columbia. We have one very energetic husky, Sebastian, who keeps us on our toes! We are very excited to be a new addition to the Madison community.
Jessica Miller - 4th Grade
My name is Jessica Miller, but you may call me Jess. I am excited to be teaching 4th grade this year.
I graduated from Moberly Senior High School in 2010 and went on to earn my Associate of Arts in Human Service Management from the University of Phoenix in 2017. In 2021, I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University. Most recently, in May of this year, I achieved my Master of Science in Psychology.
My professional experience includes working in residential care facilities, where I held a supervisory role at Arthur Center Community Health in Mexico, Missouri. Prior to joining Madison C-3, I spent nearly two years as a special education paraprofessional in the Paris R-11 School District. In that role, I collaborated with the special education teacher to plan and deliver lessons, supporting a diverse group of students.
On a personal note, I am happily married to my husband, Austin, and we have been together for almost ten years. Although we do not have children at this time, we share our home with a beloved Boxer/beagle mix. We both enjoy traveling and exploring new states, with a goal of visiting Iceland one day. My favorite holiday is Halloween and I love decorating for Fall/Halloween. I also love outdoor activities such as tennis, swimming, walking, and running, as well as simply relaxing on the back porch by the campfire. In my spare time, I also really enjoy attending concerts.
Mason Hardin - 8-12 Social Studies, Health, Personal Finance, JH/HS Boys Basketball, HS Assistant Baseball
This will be my 11th year in education, 1st year at Madison. I started out as a paraprofessional and was one for 7 years. I have also been a Middle School learning specialist for 2 years. Also in my time in education I have coached Football, Boys and Girls Basketball, Track and Field, Softball and Baseball.
Jessica Brush - 5th/6th Math, Applied Math
Hello! My name is Jessica Brush, and I am excited to join the Madison C-3 School District. My husband and I have 4 children, of which two attend Madison C-3 as high school students. In addition to spending time with my family, I enjoy watching our children participate in sports, cooking, gardening and relaxing with our pets.
I bring a background in K-12, over two decades in higher education, and real life experience to my new role. As a proud alumna of William Woods University, where I obtained both my bachelor's and master's degrees, I have served in various capacities, from admissions to financial services, with a focus on student success and positive outcomes.
In my classroom, my goal is to demonstrate the real-world applications of mathematics, ensuring that lessons are not only informative but also relevant. Additionally, I am excited to oversee the yearbook class to capture the 2024-2025 Madison C-3 school year. Overall, I am excited to work with students in a creative and positive energy. I look forward to fostering a vibrant and positive learning environment for all our students.
